The Oak Ridges Moraine is our last and largest oasis of green space in south-central Ontario. It is a 160-kilometre-long ridge of sand and gravel stretching across the top of the Greater Toronto Area and beyond — from the Niagara Escarpment near Orangeville in the west to Rice Lake near Cobourg in the east.
