Pipeline too expensive, say oil giants

Whitehorse, Yukon – Several oil companies now say building a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the rest of the U.S. would cost too much. A preliminary analysis of the project done by Exxon Mobil, BP and Phillips Petroleum found the project wouldn't give them the return on investment they are looking for.
