Iqaluit, Nunavut – The Baffin Fisheries Coalition says Inuit are benefitting from the success of the new turbot fishery in upper Davis Strait. Nunavut has all of Canada's share of the turbot allocation in that zone, about 2,000 metric tonnes of fish. The Coalition has already fished more than 1,900 tonnes of it. For the people of the region, the catch has meant jobs and new money in the local economy.
