Teflon frying pans release host of chemicals – study

TORONTO – Frying eggs got a whole lot easier when Teflon was invented in the late 1930s, but Canadian researchers warned on Wednesday that the nonstick coating is releasing chemicals into the environment that take centuries to break down and whose long-term effects are unknown.
