COSEWIC – Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada

COSEWIC (Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada) is a committee of experts that assesses and designates which wild species are in some danger of disappearing from Canada. The searchable database allows you to view the current list of species designated by COSEWIC. For each species, information includes: status and most recent assessment date, history of previous assessments and a sentence or two describing the reason for designation.
