TORONTO, June 27 /CNW/ – The crop protection industry, represented by the
Crop Protection Institute, has been quietly removing its mark from the
environment since 1989, collecting and recycling the empty pesticide
containers used in agricultural production. In 2000, almost 4.7 million
containers were collected and recycled, or 67.7% of the containers shipped
into the market place.
