On Sunday, October 2, Evergreen and Slow Food Toronto will once play host to the much-anticipated Picnic at the Brick Works.
This celebration at Toronto’s Evergreen Brick Works will put the spotlight on local growers, ranchers, fishers and artisans, so gather your friends and family and prepare for the tastiest day of the year. For more information and to register for the event online, visit the Picnic webpage.
The Picnic will once again provide a virtual tour of the culinary regions of Southern Ontario—so you can taste the terroir of our foodshed and eat your way through the province.
Over the past four years, the Picnic at the Brick Works has delighted more than 1,500 guests in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Slow Food Toronto chefs, and Ontario vintners and brewers, stand in solidarity with the farmers who support us all.
All revenue from the event will ensure farmers and producers are paid fairly for their labour. For Evergreen, proceeds will fund children’s food gardens and cooking workshops. For Slow Food Toronto, the funds support learning gardens, and connect consumers to local, sustainable food producers.
