Toronto sculptor Francisco Castro Lostalo brings his vision to life using the Carrara marble panels removed from Toronto’s First Canadian Place façade: “Spirit of Diversity” International Sculpture Symposium and “Our Fragile Planet” Exhibit are set for August 20 to September 4, 2010
Toronto, ON, August 9, 2010 – The Spirit of Diversity International Sculpture Symposium and the concurrent Our Fragile Planet Exhibit – the world’s first international sculpture and painting symposium to use the Italian Carrara marble panels removed from the façade of Toronto’s iconic First Canadian Place building – are coming to Toronto.
Canadian representative for the International Association for Monumental Sculpture Events Francisco Castro Lostalo states, “The Carrara marble panels that are being removed from the First Canadian Place façade came from the same quarries in Italy that supplied marble to the world’s greatest sculptors including Michelangelo and Bernini. Toronto Art Visions is excited to show how we can use this marble to create original and beautiful works of art, while preserving our natural resources.”
