Upcoming report on how Canada can reduce carbon emissions

January 9, 2009 – The National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy and Sustainable Development Technology Canada will hold a news conference on Tuesday, January 13th to release a joint report that outlines policies for increasing energy efficiency in Canadian commercial buildings.
 
Experts will outline how Canada can achieve significant carbon emission reductions from the commercial building sector in its efforts to reach 60-70% below 2006 levels.

Dr. Robert Page, Chair of the National Round Table on the Environment and the Economy and Mr. Rick Whittaker, Vice President, Investments, Sustainable Development Technology Canada will be joined by Mr. Roger Greenberg, Chairman and CEO of Minto Group Inc. and Mr. Robert Dubé, Member of the NRTEE.

A “virtual tour” of 180 Kent, Ottawa’s first multi-tenant office development building to target the Canada Green Building Council’s “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(C))” Gold certification will follow.
