The professional job site, founded by conservationists, is now looking to 2009 for continued growth, expanding its client base, and growing more partnerships. WorkCabin.ca remains bullish on the outlook for environmental hiring and started 2009 by investing to become the first environmental jobs site in Canada to launch a dedicated mobile-version website. The new fast-loading, scaled site is specifically designed for iPhones, Blackberries and other PDAs — the new mobile website puts environmental jobs at the fingertips of job seekers 24/7. A major first-year investment saw WorkCabin.ca be recognized as Canada’s first job site to use Bullfrog Power for 100% green electricity. The company also became the first job site on the planet approved for membership by internationally acclaimed 1% For The Planet whereby a portion of WorkCabin’s proceeds are donated back to Canadian environmental organizations.
