Environment Network offers a Trails for
Vibrant Communities presentation
, in collaboration with Walk
& Bike for Life’s Trails for Active Transportation initiative.
The goal is to provide communities with the tools necessary to
promote and support trails as low-cost, readily available means of
transportation and recreation. 6 February.

RETROFIT
BOOST.
A Winnipeg-based non-profit, BUILD,
expects to double its home retrofit staff of 26 follow an
announcement that the Manitoba
government will spend $48 million over the next three years to
retrofit public housing
. Retrofits are also being delivered by
Brandon Neighbourhood Renewal, a
Green Communities member organization.
