SEEKING RECRUITS FOR: CLIMATE CHANGE BOOT CAMP II
The first Boot Camp was so successful we are providing a second session.
No push ups, no 10 km runs. Instead this Boot Camp is an opportunity to exercise your desire to take action and join other climate change champions at the top of the podium.
Climate Change Boot Camp will provide a setting for community members to learn about climate change facts and solutions. The program hopes to develop an army of informed, motivated community champions who can educate and support action on climate change in their communities.
Trainees will learn how to organize a climate change event, plan greenhouse gas reduction activities in their community, and deliver a climate change presentation. Each participant will receive hands on training from local experts about the science, the impacts in Manitoba and around the world, and the solutions.
Training sessions begin in late October and are FREE OF CHARGE. Each participant will receive a “Tool Kit” containing a handbook, hand-outs for their audience, power-point presentations, and all other material necessary to make their own presentations. Trainees will leave armed to take action on climate change in their community.

The deadline for registration is October 3rd, 2008.

If you are able to display the attached poster in a high traffic area in a rural community that would be very helpful – we can send you a number of colour copies to post – please just reply to this message with the # of posters you would like us to send you and your mailing address.
