The Ripple Effect Eco-Film Festival has been co-founded by Annette Paiement, Francesca Trifone, and Peter Ormond.
“As this festival evolves, we envision increased participation of the community, including schools, businesses, artists, performers, faith groups, and other cultural organizations,” says environmental specialist Peter Ormond.
Films have been selected from Planet in Focus: Canada’s premiere environmental film festival.
According to event organizer Francesca Trifone, “The response from the community has been overwhelming to date. This includes artists and musicians that are eager to participate at events, and other individuals that want to support our efforts.”
Key partners include Reeves Financial Services Inc., the Art Gallery of Hamilton, Fenian Films, Earth Day Hamilton and the Hamilton Eco-Network.
Event specialist Annette Paiement is excited about the opportunity to enhance Hamilton’s cultural mosaic: “With so many pockets and clusters of creative energy in Hamilton, this is another mechanism for sharing with the community.”
