Peel youth and community organizations are invited to participate in the Peel Environmental Youth Alliance’s Online Community Website launch!
When: Friday, February 29th, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Where: Central Public School n the Multipurpose Room, 24 Alexander Street, Brampton
Youth will share how the technology is helping to create an online community, and guests will have an opportunity to explore the website (www.peyalliance.com) and its features. Participants can network with young activists, and provide valuable feedback on how to improve this online community.
“This technology is allowing students to connect with one other on their own time, and it’s breaking a huge communication barrier. We have created an online community, and it’s allowing students to be more active stewards of their environment,” says Rohit Mehta, PEYA’s Online Facilitator.
Laptops will be set up to show off the new website, and to allow participants to provide feedback on the website’s features and accessibility, while enjoying refreshments provided by The Local Café, and music by DJ Punjaican.
To RSVP or for more information, please contact PEYA Online Facilitator, Rohit Mehta at 905-274-6222 or rmehta@ecosource.ca
