Expert on climate change and tourism takes post as chief social scientist at Parks Canada

Brenda Jones (BES ’96, MES ’99, PhD ’04) always loved weather so when she had to select a university, UW was her first choice. Its geography program with weather and climatology courses appealed to her, and as a local girl, the draw of living at home and working part-time jobs while studying helped her reach her goal: no student loans at the end of her degrees.
