One of Canada’s largest environmental consulting firms says it’s taking an extra step in walking the walk by going “carbon neutral” this month, but one expert questions the effectiveness of the practice.
Jacques Whitford, headquartered in the Maritimes with offices in Saint John, N.B., and Dartmouth, N.S., is trying to reduce its energy use by replacing old power-sucking machines in its offices and offsetting the resources it does use by investing in renewable energy projects.
