Activists want NWT mining access road stopped

EDMONTON — Environmentalists want the federal government to step in, now that a mining road has been approved through land suggested for an expansion of Nahanni National Park which two cabinet ministers have supported.
“They have to sit down and figure out a way to stop this mine,” said Alison Woodley of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society.
