In August of 2006, 14 artists traveled to the Muskwa-Kechika Management Area in the Northern Rockies to take part in the first Muskwa-Kechika Artist Exploration Camp.
The art camp was organized as a way to bring an aesthetic attention to one of the few remaining areas on our planet in which a fully-functioning wilderness ecosystem remains virtually intact.
The artwork that resulted from this camp is currently on display at the North Peace Gallery in Fort St. John, BC.
This year’s Muskwa-Kechika Artist Camp will be held from July 28th to August 4, 2007. Artists working in any discipline (writing, visual art, photography, video art, etc.) are invited to apply. Deadline for application is April 30, 2007.
