A provincial election has not yet been called, but Manitoba’s Liberal party pledged Friday that everything the party does in the next campaign will be “carbon neutral.”
Being carbon neutral involves calculating total carbon emissions, reducing them where possible, and then balancing the remaining emissions, often by purchasing a carbon offset, such as paying for tree planting or investing in energy-efficient technologies.
