The decision to hire a person to direct campus sustainability represents a significant step toward developing the awareness, policies and practices that will help us move toward “greening UPEI” and toward a campus culture grounded in sustainability values. We look forward the exciting possibility of UPEI becoming a leader in both the teaching and practice of environmental sustainability, and encourage all members of the community to contribute their ideas and their efforts in support of the emerging sustainability initiatives.
