November Volunteer Events

I can not believe that it is already November. Even though the days are getting short, chilly and wet, we are still heading outdoors and we hope that will join us for one of our November Events…


1) Tuesday, November 7th
What: Urban Wildlife Nature Walk & Workshop
Where: Burnaby Lake
When: 8:00am to 3:00pm
We are looking for volunteers to help supervise the children and help run the activity stations.
2) Sunday, November 12th
What: Hyde Creek Salmon Festival
Where: Hyde Creek Recreational Centre, Port Coquitlam
When: 10:00am to 3:30pm
NWPS will have a booth at the festival and will also deliver presentations on salmon. We are looking for one or two volunteers to help out with the activities at our booth.
3) Thursday. November 16th
What: Urban Wildlife Nature Walk & Workshop
Where: Burnaby Lake
When: 8:00am to 3:00pm
Again we would like to have a number of volunteers come out and help with the days activities.
4) Sunday, November 26th
What: Native species planting and Invasive species removal with RiverWorks
Where: Fraser River Park
When: 10:30am to 2:30pm
We will join RiverWorks for a wonderful day at the park, planting Native Species and removing those alien, invasive species!
