Black Cloud Descends upon Toronto

Today in downtown Toronto, WWF-Canada is putting on an event that will make invisible carbon dioxide visible, in the form of a black cloud. It will completely cover Metro Hall Square. This cloud will be made up of 3,000 black balloons, representing the carbon dioxide byproduct of an average Canadian for one day.
If multiplied by the entire population of Toronto (almost 2.5 million) there would be more than six billion balloons above Toronto – enough to entirely block out the sun and sky. Visitors will see how their actions are affecting the planet, and will be shown that they can make a difference.
