U of S researchers lead study into reclamation of oilsands land

U of S researchers will lead a $1.2-million study into how to reconstruct boreal forest landscapes disturbed by oilsands mining. A Sept. 18 University news release said NSERC, the federal Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council, will invest $526,600 and Syncrude Canada Ltd. will provide $421,900 in cash and $263,000 in in-kind contributions.
