The Army Corps of Engineers looked at the floods and said, ?The answer is to build dams,??so now we have 114 dams on the Columbia River. And the relationship between those dams and the salmon is that the temperature of the Columbia and the Snake rivers has permanently risen. It is quite common, in the summer months, to find the Columbia and Snake rivers exceeding 65?F. At 65?F. those waters are lethal to salmon.?
