Toronto, Ontario – A poll released today by Environmental Defence shows an overwhelming majority – 81% – of people in Ontario support the McGuinty government's plan to protect 400,000 hectares of green space in the Golden Horseshoe area. Only 7% oppose this plan, with the remainder having no opinion. In addition, 44% of Ontarians feel that protecting 400,000 hectares is just right, but 35% are of the opinion that it is too little.
