A sense of quiet distrust prevails in Crofton, where 2,500 people live in the shadow of the area's largest employer the Norske Canada pulp and paper mill. It's so great, people are organizing a "clean air" benefit concert with big-name stars fund an independent study of the mill's health and environmental impact.
