The Nature Trust of British Columbia is one of the largest and longest standing land conservation organization in British Columbia. The Nature Trust's dedication and work in habitat conservation have been critical to the protection and nurturing of this province's natural legacy. British Columbia supports a variety of ecosystems such as coastal estuaries, old-growth forests, interior wetlands, grasslands, sub-alpine forests and alpine meadows. These ecosystems provide habitat to more than 700 endangered, threatened or vulnerable plants and animals. As well, these habitats beautify our province and enhance our quality of life.
