TORONTO, Sept. 24 /CNW/ – World Wildlife Fund Canada is urging the
federal government to save hundreds of thousands of sea birds killed each year
by waste bilge oil dumped illegally at sea. A WWF-Canada report, Seabirds and
Atlantic Canada's Ship-Source Oil Pollution, released today highlights the
extent of the problem in Atlantic Canada and lists measures to help stop
illegal dumping.
