Toxic chemicals poisoning arctic wildlife – governments must ratify and implement international toxics treaty

TORONTO, Oct. 1 /CNW/ – Arctic wildlife and some arctic indigenous people
are being exposed to rising mercury levels and to other highly toxic
chemicals, according to a report released today in Finland. Even low levels of
these contaminants are known to damage reproductive, nervous and immune
systems.
