Construction of liquefied natural gas facility requires EIA

FREDERICTON (CNB) – An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study will be carried out on a proposal by Irving Oil Limited to construct and operate facilities for the receiving, unloading, storage and processing of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Environment and Local Government Minister Kim Jardine announced today. The project was registered under the Province's Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation on July 25, 2001.
