Event: Co-Operative City Conference – Nov. 23

The BC Co-operative Association would like to invite you to participate in the upcoming Co-operative City Conference on November 23. This unique event aims to develop key partnerships and projects between the co-operative sector and the City to strengthen five vital sectors in Vancouver: green industry, renewable energy, arts and culture, local food, and affordable housing.

We see an enormous potential to link City staff with key stakeholders to explore how the co-op community can support the City’s sustainability goals by strengthening these key sectors. Our hope is not just to share ideas and information, but also to generate real partnerships that can advance concrete projects. The conference will present a wide range of ideas and best practices that can serve as models for our city. The City of Vancouver’s Greenest City Plan offers a unique context to promote such an approach.

We are reaching out to key stakeholders, policymakers, and informed citizens to properly represent these five sectors. Sponsors of the conference include BCCA, Vancity, the Vancouver Foundation, SFU and many others.
