The Southern Alberta chapter of the Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS SAB) would like to invite you to an exciting evening in Calgary with park experts as we discuss and celebrate the CPAWS SAB chapter’s video, “Parks and Protected Areas: A Simple Solution to our Complex Problems.” CPAWS SAB worked ardently with local volunteers to create a short video about our parks, grizzly bear recovery, and climate change.

We have invited local experts Chris Manderson (Natural Area Management Lead, City of Calgary, Parks), Jim Stomp (Site Manager – Fish Creek District Alberta Tourism, Parks, Recreation and Culture), and Dave Poulton (Environmental Consultant, Environmental Strategies) to discuss with YOU the role of parks and protected areas in our human and wilderness communities.

Our parks provide us not only with exceptional recreational opportunities, but essential ecological services, such as clean water and air. This will be an exciting opportunity to speak with professionals and engage with community members with similar passions and concerns.

We look forward to a fun evening of stimulating discussion with you!
