Who is the UNB Student’s Environmental Society?
We are a pro-active group of dedicated university students at UNB who are tired of the status quo and who are organizing our efforts to change it. We are working with the campus community towards improving life on campus by trying to create a sustainable campus at UNB.

We work to promote education and action on environmental issues on campus, and around the Maritimes. We educate ourselves and the campus community by organizing environmental speaker nights, by attending conferences, and by organizing environmental activity. Some of our on-campus initiatives include improving the recycling program, implementing a composting program, reducing computer and photocopier paper use, drafting an Environmental Policy for UNB, and various letter writing campaigns for environmental causes.

We are a member group of both the Sierra Youth Coalition and the New Brunswick Environmental Network, giving members opportunities to travel and meet environmentally aware youth from all over the sweet land of New Brunswick. And yes, we do hug trees, but it’s not a requirement for membership…
