The Greenbelt wraps around the Golden Horseshoe and is vital to the
quality of life in southern Ontario. There’s so much to see and do in
the Greenbelt. It’s beautiful, bountiful, vibrant and environmentally
diverse – important for Ontarians now and worth saving for future
generations.
Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation
The Friends of the Greenbelt Foundation is a not-for-profit organization.
The Foundation was created to help foster our Greenbelt’s living
countryside by nurturing and supporting activities that preserve its
environmental and agricultural integrity.
The Foundation’s vision is that our Greenbelt is vibrant and healthy in twenty-five years, and is comprised of:
– a protected, restored natural heritage system;
– a strong, successful working countryside;
– a robust the agricultural sector; and,
– patterns of settlement supporting the Greenbelt.
