Citizen’s Environment Watch, a non-profit environmental organization, is commissioning Toronto artists to create one-of-a-kind art pieces using rubber boots and parasol umbrellas for our Second Annual Rubber Boot Ball. Last year over 100 guests came together for the unveiling and auction of the items created by 15 prominent artists, including Sarah Richardson of HGTV’s popular show Sarah’s House.
To thank our artists for their hard work, we will give them 1 free ticket to the event and the best boots and umbrellas will have the chance to be displayed in various galleries and high profile locations for 1 whole month!
The Rubber Boot Ball will be held May 1st, 2008 at 7pm with all proceeds going to CEW to help provide education, equipment, and support for our community-based ecological monitoring and stewardship programs.
It’s an evening full of food, drinks, dancing, auctions, raffles, and free prizes! So come on out and Boot n’ Boogie the night away!
Here’s how the process works:
- We give you a pair of primed rubber boots and/or a parasol umbrella
- You decorate it and give it back to us
- We provide you with a complimentary ticket to the Rubber Boot Ball, a chance to have your work displayed in a professional setting and our thanks!
