VANCOUVER — It’s not every day you get a chance to correct a problem that’s been 10,000 years in the making.
That’s what fisheries experts were doing on the Cowichan River this week, as they put the finishing touches on a major project to end a siltation problem that has likely plagued salmon on the river since the last Ice Age receded.
