Mississauga Community Stewardship Initiative

Urbanization and population growth are the leading causes of habitat loss, and Mississauga, one of the fastest growing communities in Canada, is experiencing this first hand. To help address habitat loss, Environment Canada’s Habitat Stewardship Program, Evergreen, Credit Valley Conservation and EcoSource have begun to take a closer look at species at risk located on Jeffersonthe University of Toronto at Mississauga (UTM) campus.
