Is anyone aware that at the moment an erosion control project is occuring in Wedgewood Creek /Sheridan Valley behind Falgarwood Dr.? The erosion protection and shoring up of the banks of this ravine is very badly needed, but they are clear cutting a 33 ft. wide path straight up the ravine and taking with it everything in it’s path including 75 foot high healthy White Pine trees!!! As I type this I can hear the chippers chopping up the trees! Sickening sound! This ravine is home to owls and hawks and a multitude of other birds and small animals. Just had to vent as I have already tried to salvage the trees..and I did manageto save one..but only one.
A great loss!
