TORONTO ? The Government of Canada is taking strong steps to clean urban air by curbing the growing emissions from vehicles in Canadian cities. David Collenette, Minister of Transport, Ralph Goodale, Minister of Natural Resources, and David Anderson, Minister of the Environment, today announced that the Government will invest more than $109 million in initiatives focussed on urban transportation, fuel-cell technology, increasing fuel efficiency and marketing low-emission vehicles. The announcement was made today by the Ministers while attending the launch of the 2nd annual Toronto Smog Summit.
