government to eliminate wolf kill.
Norway has approved a wolf hunt for nine wolves despite protests by Sweden's
Environment Minister and environmental groups. The Norwegian government has
already trained hunters in response to complaints over livestock kills. Last year,
the Norwegian government planned to hunt two wolf packs killing an estimated
17 to 20 animals. Yesterday, officials limited the hunt to nine wolves.
