St. John’s Clean & Beautiful

Clean & Beautiful was organized as a result of a resolution adopted by St. John’s City Council on April 8, 1991 to apply for certification with Keep America Beautiful, Inc. (KAB). Subsequently, Clean & Beautiful became certified as a KAB affiliate in October 1991 and hence Clean Clean & Beautiful became incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1992. As a city-wide program coordinating efforts to reduce litter and organize beautification projects, Clean & Beautiful aims to create a spirit of pride in our city which results in St. John’s being one of the most attractive cities in North America.
Clean & Beautiful has been committed to creating public awareness, ownership, and the involvement of the community, as a whole, in the cleanliness and beauty of our city. We promote partnership, working together and individual responsibility to make this happen.
Clean & Beautiful knows that a clean and beautiful city environment encourages and fosters economic investment, increases property values, and can contribute to safety and order. All of which add to a better quality of life and healthier environment.
