A Poster Contest for students Grades 6 to 8 and Grades 9 to 12 in Vaughan, Ontario
If you could only do one thing, it would be…?
This art and the environment collaboration is a call to Vaughan area students in Grades 6 to 8 and Grades 9 to 12 to step outside the box. The sponsors and supporters are challenging students to be creative and show their friends, parents, local business and community leaders the one thing they are doing differently to green their lives.
Everyone today knows the importance of going green. Stories appear daily about the need for organizations and individuals to go green – it’s about becoming more productive by going green. Making sure this is more than just talk is critical. Getting kids involved is just as important; these students are the consumers, the political and business leaders, and the taxpayers of tomorrow. They have a right to make their views and actions known – a picture tells a thousand words!
The poster contest closes at 12pm SHARP, Thursday April 17th, 2008. Submissions to the poster contest can be submitted in hard copy to reception at the Kortright Centre, 9550 Pine Valley Drive, Woodbridge or submitted digitally to goingforthegreen@earthrangers.ca. Questions on the contest can be sent to this email. Details about the contest can be downloaded from http://www.e2management.com/projects.asp under Details for the art and environment collaboration.
