We are a team, based in the Pleasant Valley/ Brookfield area of central Nova Scotia, who are concerned with the provincal government’s intention to contract with Lafarge Brookfield to burn tires as a source of fuel in their cement kilns. Our group represents the concerns of over 3000 Nova Scotian residents.

Under our RESOURCES page on the navigation tab at left, you will find a selection of web accessible references drawn from the 17 page bibliography our group submitted to Dr. Michael Pegg. Dr. Pegg is an Engineer and professor at Dalhousie University, and he has been commissioned to conduct a literature review in order to determine if tire derived fuel (TDF) is a viable fuel source at Brookfield Lafarge.
