The Children’s Clean Air Network has a mission to make idling in Halifax as socially unacceptable as cigarette smoking. CCAN, a group of eager elementary school students spearheaded by Ron Zima, has already inspired one car dealership to stop its daily idling habits and influenced Atlantic Canada’s Family Expo to go idle free. CCAN offers creative ways to approach people about their idling habits.
