The ESS was established in 1998 and grew out of the Saskatchewan Watchable Wildlife Association, founded in1992. The Ecotourism Society of Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization which invites new members including ecotourism providers, people from all sectors of the tourism industry as well as tourism educators, and students.
