Guided Trail Rides at Evergreen Brick Works – June 22

BikeFestToronto – Biking is one of the best ways for families to get outside, get active, connect with nature and have fun. So head over to Evergreen Brick Works on June 22 for a full day of exploring the site and surrounding trails.

Sweet Pete’s Wild Ride | 10–11am and 11am–noon
Explore the mountain bike trails found in Toronto’s Don Valley with the pros from Sweet Pete’s. Suitable for all ages and abilities, this will be a fun and relaxed ride meant to introduce people to the fun and exciting world of mountain biking. Each time slot will have a beginner and intermediate group of riders. Each participant must have a bike and a helmet. Bike rentals are available from Sweet Pete’s.

Don Valley Trail Rides: Family Bike Festival Edition | 11am–1pm
Take a ride through the Don Valley with an experienced naturalist and learn more about the plants and animals that call the ravine home. This ride is suitable for all ages and will include frequent stops to explore and experience the wild world around us. Each participant must have a bike and a helmet. Bike rentals are available from Sweet Pete’s.

Family Fun

Mountain Bike Obstacle Course | 10am–1:30pm
Try out the Sprockids Mountain Bike Obstacle Course for your chance to win some sweet prizes. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet.

Water Balloon Rodeo | 10am–1:30pm
Try your wheel at popping water balloons in the bike corral. Participants must bring their own bike and helmet.

Biksterpiece | 10am–1:30pm
Using sprockets, wheels, markers, paint, glitter and whatever else we can get our hands on, express your love of bikes through some creative community art.

Bike Tune-Ups, DIY Repairs and Safety

Half Price Tune-Ups and Free Safety Checks | 10am–2pm
Bring your bike to the Sweet Pete’s bike shop for half price tune-ups and free safety checks.

Bike Works DIY Repairs | 10am–4pm
Drop by Bike Works and use the tools to keep your bike in tip top shape.

In the Community

Cycle Toronto | 10am–2pm
Swing by the tent and talk with Cycle Toronto staff and volunteers about their work to develop safer cycling across the city and the different ways you can help. Cycle Toronto is a diverse member-supported organization that advocates for a healthy, safe, cycling-friendly city for all.

Demos from Giant Bicycles | 10am–2pm
Check out the latest and greatest bikes from Giant Bicycles and take them for a spin on the obstacle course.
