It’s time for people to learn the skills they will need to survive diverse situations in the woods!
This event is aimed at the “de-mechanization” of camping, and the main focus is on schools and guides who teach basic survival skills from soft adventuring for kids to 9 months in the north with nothing but a knife.
It will be held on June 18 and 19 at old Fort York In Toronto. Organizers are expecting over a hundred survival schools and trainers. This is the first year for the event, so it’s hard to say what to expect, except that it will be a unique experience to meet fellow travelers and survivors in one venue.
As well as booths we have the “rub two sticks stage”, where speakers and exhibitors can show their main skills set to the public.
Fort York is uniquely apt for our show as the original residents learned basic survival skills from the aboriginal communities surrounding the region.
Visit the website for more information and ideas about how you can participate in this unique event.
