Vancouver Foundation’s Generation Green Awards

Vancouver Foundation is excited to announce the launch of our Generation Green Awards, which celebrates young ideas for green neighbourhoods in the city of Vancouver.

This special, one-time initiative offers cash awards, of up to $12,500 for environmental projects created by young people aged 6 to 24.

The Generation Green Awards are open to individuals or groups who want to improve the environment in a Vancouver neighbourhood. The deadline for submissions is March 4, 2011.

A total of 20 awards will be distributed in the following categories:

6-12 years old (three awards of $1,250, and three awards of $12,500)

13-17 years old (three awards of $1,250, and three awards of $12,500)

18-24 years old (four awards of $1,250, and four awards of $12,500)

Vancouver Foundation works to improve the places where British Columbian’s live, work and play. These awards commemorate Vancouver’s 125th birthday, as well as the city’s goal of becoming the world’s greenest metropolis by 2020, and aim to inspire young people to make a green changes, now and for the future.
