Calgary’s only sustainable business association, REAP, kicks off an action packed Earth Week Festival with Earth Hour – complete with candles and a celebration along the Bow River – on March 28th.
The week long celebration of sustainable living includes Calgary Economic Development’s first Green Business Report and three well known authors talking about the business of sustainability.
To wrap up REAP Down to Earth Week on April 4th, there’s a sustainable fashion show and presentation by sustainable shopping expert and author Dr. Ellis Jones. A green market will showcase local merchants providing sustainable products and services, and a “Meet the Experts” panel will take questions about how to go green in Calgary.
Throughout the week, learn about local food systems with local feature menus at restaurants Catch, Farm, Open Range, River Café and Velvet. Enjoy arts, culture and self expression courtesy of Sage Theatre and The Pachamama Alliance.
