Wetlands, ducks, and geodatabases

Darren Cope graduated from UW in 2005 with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Geography and a Diploma of Excellence in Geographic Information Systems.

Darren now works as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist for Ducks Unlimited Canada, an organization that “conserves, restores and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl.”

In his spare time, Darren enjoys camping and doing canoe trips, often seeing the wetlands that he studies at work.
